NSW 7s

Congratulations to the players named in the U17 NSW Waratahs 7s youth boys and girls squads.

Play rugby 7s in NSW!

On 9 October 2009 the IOC Session in Copenhagen voted, almost unanimously, to add Rugby 7s to the sporting program of the summer. Since that day Rugby has been gripped by the ‘Olympic Effect’. The NSW Waratahs have embraced the Rugby 7s phenomenon which is sweeping the world and are proud to announce the launch of a new range of 7s opportunities, allowing boys, girls, men and women in NSW the opportunity to play rugby. We will continue to build on our representative program which saw NSW as champions of Men's, Women's, Boys and Girls 7s in 2015. Our clubs and schools are also embracing the game of 7s and competitions are been planned for commencement in the very near future. The ability of 7s to attract a different player base than the XVs game will create participation with vast diversity across our multicultural State.

Get the kids involved with the opportunity for them to learn the game of 7s

Rugby 7s is a game for all shapes and sizes. Come and give it a go by registering for the closest VIVA7s centre to you! VIVA7s is all about having fun with friends and playing the game in a good spirit.

NSW Rugby would like to thank the Office of Sport for their ongoing support of Rugby Union. Their support enables NSW Rugby to continue to grow rugby union across NSW.
