Junior Player Pathway Course (JPP)
The JPP Course will teach you how to coach and referee rugby at Walla, Mini and Midi levels (U6s to U12s), to understand the modified rules for each game, and give all participants SmartRugby certification.
The course does not result in coach or referee accreditation, but will result in a certificate that allows participants to coach and referee at JPP level.
Does the course incorporate SmartRugby?
Yes. If you attend this course, you will be covered for SmartRugby and do NOT have to attend a stand-alone SmartRugby course.
Who is the course aimed at?
People who are involved in Walla, Mini or Midi modified games as coaches, referees, parents or club volunteers. Current Level 1 and Level 2 accredited coaches and referees who are involved at this younger level will also benefit from this course.
What are the prerequisites?
There are no prerequisites.
What is the minimum age?
12 years old.

All participants will receive:

- SmartRugby booklet
- SmartRugby DVD
- Access to online coaching library
How long is the course?
3 hours.
What should I bring?
The course is usually conducted outdoors, and involves some activity so sports gear is recommended. For evening courses we suggest you bring warm clothing, and for day courses, sunscreen, water and a hat. Please also bring paper and a pen.
