Despite a wealth of international experience in the Waratahs backrow, Beau Robinson played 12 in 12 of 15 Super 14 matches in 2008. After heading back to country Rugby to play with the Dubbo Rhinos late in the season, Robinson re-established his place in the squad and featured in the semifinal and final.
Robinson was one of Warringah’s best in the northern beaches club’s charge to the 2008 finals, adding a hard-running attack game to his trademark defence and scavenging around the park.
Robinson was born on 15 August 1986 in Alice Springs before relocating to the central-west NSW town of Narromine as a youngster. He won Australian Schools selection in 2004 out of St Stanislaus College, Bathurst, represented NSW U19 and the Waratahs Academy in 2005, made his NSW debut in 2006 and his Super Rugby debut in 2007.
