He was rewarded for his fantastic season with his first Wallaby jersey in 2008 and was named in the Spring Tour squad.
Born in Auckland on 5 March 1984, Dean is the grandson of former All Black Dean Mumm, the son of ARU Board member John, and the brother of Sydney University coach Greg. Since captaining The King’s School 1st XV in 2001 and 2002, Mumm has followed the representative pathway through to Wallaby selection by playing for Australia at U16, Schoolboy, U21, Universities and Barbarians level prior to representing Australia A in 2007.
