Sydney University will be looking to hit back from their first loss of the 2008 when they take on Eastwood at University Oval No.1 on Saturday.

It is the only Tooheys New Shute Shield match being played this weekend in what for other sides is a bye week. This clash was deferred from round eight due to Sydney University taking on Sunnybank in the Australian Club Championship in Brisbane.

Sydney University are still on top of the Shute Shield ladder despite last weekend's loss to Randwick and can maintain a one-match buffer with victory over Eastwood.

While six places and 14 competition points separate these two teams, the talent in the Eastwood line-up should be enough to cause the front-runners some real problems.

With Jerry Yanuyanutawa called up to the Australia A squad, Waratah prop Jeremy Tilse returns to first grade, while Pat McCutcheon is also back for Uni after being called into the NSW camp late last week for the Super 14 Final.

Eastwood are without Josh Holmes who was also selected by Australia A, and are in need of a win which would put them back in the top six and into fifth place nearing the halfway point of the competition.
