The HSBC Waratahs play their second home game of the 2010 Super 14 tonight when they clash with the Lions at the Sydney Football Stadium.

The Tahs have spent their first full week in Sydney since mid-January after playing in Lismore, Orange, Canberra, Brisbane, Cape Town and Pretoria prior to travelling back from South Africa before last Saturday's victory against the Sharks.

Captain Phil Waugh will make his 119th appearance for NSW in the match, passing the previous record of 118 matches set by Chris Whitaker. He will also pass Whitaker for the most appearances as NSW captain with his 41st appearance. The first 7,500 people into the ground will receive a special Phil Waugh face mask.

Prop Al Baxter will also reach a milestone with his 107th NSW cap, taking him past David Lyons into fourth on the all-time list. Only Waugh, Whitaker and Matt Burke (115) have more appearances for the state.

Berrick Barnes plays just his fifth match for the Tahs, but will bring up 50 Super Rugby caps (45 for Reds) in the fixture.

Highs of 25C today in Sydney are expected to cool to around 20C providing near-perfect conditions for tonight's match.
