Briars Rugby Union Head Coach Opportunity

Briars Rugby Union (Currently Division 2 NSW Suburban Rugby) is seeking expressions of interest for 2013 head coach position. Ideally you will be enthusiastic, motivated, and able to lead a coaching team. You will show innovative, ownership, accountability and above all commitment to Briars Rugby Union values and code of conduct. Coaching qualifications are preferred for all coaching positions however we would be happy to support interested individuals to gain their Level 1 or 2 coaching certificates.
Preferably, but not mandatory, applicants will have:
- Level 1 Coaching Accreditation or higher
- A track record of successful coaching outcomes
- Smart Rugby compliance
- Experience in fitness programs
- A net work of players that you will be encouraged to bring to and be part of the club
Briars will support coaches seeking to gain / further their qualifications via participation in courses run by NSWRU throughout the year. Ideally we are looking for extended engagement and hope the successful applicant to be part of our club for the long term.
Key attributes that you must display include:
- A high level of constructive communication with players and the committee
- A willingness to work cooperatively with coaches from all other grades
- A commitment to improving the overall standard of your team and the wider club whilst promoting an enjoyable and relatively relaxed club culture
- An ability to devise structured and planned training sessions throughout the season with commitment to seeing this plan through.
