Sydney Grammar School - Rugby Coaches Required

Sydney Grammar School, an academically selective high school for boys, has a long and proud tradition of participation in the prestigious GPS competition.  The school competes in the GPS rugby competition against St Joseph’s College, The Scots College, Shore School, The King’s School, Newington College, St Ignatius’ College, Sydney Boys’ High School and The Armidale School. The competition runs from mid-April and finishes in early September, with breaks for school holidays. There are approximately 13 games with 7 GPS matches.  We are seeking dedicated, qualified and driven coaching professionals to be involved in this challenging and exciting competition. You should be able to demonstrate:

• Distinguished record of coaching successful rugby teams
• Strong motivational attributes
• Proven ability to plan, develop and execute a tailored rugby program
• An empathy with boys at an important time in their educational life
• Strong organisational and communication skills.  We are offering an exciting opportunity to make a mark through the highly visible GPS competition.

Training is twice a week from 3.00pm to 5.00pm and games are on a Saturday between 9am and 5pm.

You would be required to be Smart Rugby and Level 1 qualified.  These positions are Child related and will require a “Working with Children Check” under the Commission for Children and Young People Act and the Child Protection “Prohibited Employment” Act (1998).  It is illegal for prohibited persons to apply. 

These are paid positions on an hourly rate.

Waratahs Rugby - Intern: Gameday Media
Position advertised January 5, 2012
 
Waratahs Rugby is looking to appoint a gameday media intern to assist with media operations for HSBC Waratahs’ FxPro 2012 Super Rugby home matches.

Candidates should have some experience of working with the media including strong written and oral communication skills.

NSW Rugby Union - Intern: Media and Communications

Sydney Rugby Union - Representative Team Coaches & Support Staff 2012

Sydney Rugby Union invites applications from suitably qualified individuals for the following Coaching positions for the 2012 Season:

Coach & Assistant Coach
• Sydney Representative Team

Applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Accredited Level II or III Coach
• SmartRugby Compliant
• Coached Senior Representative or Premier Rugby Teams
• Proven coaching track record

Applicants must be able to:
• Prepare teams to successfully participate in representative programs
• Improve overall standard of players/teams, and be competitive in all matches
• Implement playing structures which will provide attractive/enjoyable Rugby
• Create a disciplined/relaxed environment, and instil ambition to play at a higher level

We are also calling for applications from suitably qualified individuals for Support Staff roles:

• Assistant Team Manager

• Physiotherapist

Sydney University Women’s Rugby Club - 2012 Head Coach/Backs Specialist

2010 & 2011 Premiers, Sydney University Women’s Rugby Club, is seeking expressions of interest for the role of 2012 Head Coach/Backs Specialist.

* Fantastic opportunity to work with international and regional representative players
* Opportunity for support from SUFC, including coach-to-coach sessions and clinics
* Considerable remuneration for time and expenses
* Further Coach Education subsidies provided by club

The club is comprised of players of all levels from novice to international players. We compete in the Sydney Women’s Rugby Union Competition, 1st Division. We are the 2010 & 2011 premiers and minor premiers. We are looking for a coach that can take our game to an even higher level and to develop new talent in the club.

There are currently 4 Wallaroo squad players in the club. The club was represented at the 2010 Rugby Women’s World cup by 3 of our players where the Australian team finished 3rd. The club was also represented at the 2011 Rugby National Championships by 9 players featuring in the Sydney Representative Side.

Training takes place at Sydney University Camperdown Campus (5 mins from CBD) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-8pm. Home matches are played at St. Johns oval, Sydney University on Saturdays. The 2011 competition consisted of 15 rounds + finals. It is anticipated that the 2012 season will be similar format. The Season typically runs from early April until late August.

Desired Criteria:
- Rugby Coaching Qualification (ESSENTIAL) – Level 2 preferred but not essential
- Ability and experience in coaching players of varying ability, from novice to highly experienced players
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to run well organised and structured training sessions
- Experience in fitness / conditioning for rugby

Epping Rugby Club - Expressions of Interest for 2012 Coaching and Management Positions

Epping Rugby and Netball Club's Seniors Rugby section plays in the NSWRU's Third Division Suburban Rugby competition. This competition is open to males who want to play in the senior grades or Under 21's. Sommerville Oval on Blaxland Road in Epping is our home ground. We have 5 senior grade teams and a colts (under 21s) team.
Expressions of Interest are sought by the club for people who wish to be a part of our successful club in the positions of:

• Club Coaching Director
• Head Coach, Forwards Coach, Backs Coach and Managers for – 1st, 2nd, 3rd,4th Grade, 5th Grade and Colts (Under 21s).
• Club Strength and Conditioning Coach plus assistants
• Club Strapper and Injury Management plus assistants

St Aloysius College – Rugby Coaches required

St Aloysius College competes in the CAS rugby competition against Waverley, Knox, Barker, Trinity and Cranbrook schools. The competition runs from mid-March and finishes early-August, with breaks for school holidays. There are approximately 13 games with 10 CAS matches.
                 
Training is twice a week from 3.45pm to 5.15pm and games are on a Saturday from 9am to 1pm.

You would be required to be Smart Rugby and Level 1 qualified.
These are paid positions on an hourly rate.
