Schools Rugby

Rugby at primary school and secondary schools in New South Wales is extremely strong.  The public and private school systems provide many interschool competitions and representative programs which culminate with the selection of state teams for the Australian School Championships held annually.

Primary school rugby is administered by the NSW Public Schools Sports Association (NSWPSSA), whilst private schools operate their own interschool matches and competitions. Read further information.

The second NSW Country Rugby Union Zone Premiership for 2016 has been won by Minor Premiers Hastings Valley Vikings, who took out the Mid North Coast North Title with a comprehensive 38 – 0 victory over the Kempsey Cannon Balls (3).
