Manly pair Lui Siale and Scott Daruda and Parramatta winger Sosene Anesi will start for their respective Sydney clubs for the first time this weekend, in a bid to secure FxPro Super Rugby contracts for next season.
With Sydney's club competition taking centre stage in the run up to the finals, the newcomers can expect to play alongside a number of current Super Rugby players, including 12 HSBC Waratahs who return for club duties this weekend.
Lured to Sydney for another bid at a Super Rugby contract after two years spent playing in Japan, the appearance of Daruda from the bench last weekend sparked the fightback that saw them snare a thrilling 25-23 victory over competition leaders Eastwood.
The return of Siale after a season with French Rugby Pro D2 side Union Sportive Carcassonne will further strengthen the Manly backline, as they host a pacey Southern Districts outfit that includes HSBC Waratahs winger Atieli Pakalani.
Former All Black and HSBC Waratahs speedster Sosene Anesi will grab his maiden first grade start for the Two Blues in 2012 after coming off the bench last week to help his side secure a last minute victory over Penrith. The Two Blues will be hoping to use Anesi to full effect this weekend, as they look to avenge their round 10 defeat at the hands of Randwick when the two sides meet again at Merrylands RSL Rugby Park this weekend.
In other round 13 matches, Northern Suburbs will host Sydney University at North Sydney Oval for Seti Tafua day. Telecast live as the ABC TV game of the day, a full program of events is on offer with all proceeds going to club's fundraising efforts for Seti Tafua, the Norths' first grade player who suffered a serious injury playing for the second grade against Warringah a month ago.
Eastern Suburbs will be looking to make it two from two over Eastwood this year when they do battle with the reigning premiers at Woollahra Oval. Gordon will look to prevent Warringah from playing finals football when the teams meet at Chatswood Oval, while West Harbour will look to rise to eighth spot with a win over Penrith at Nepean Rugby Park.

Prop Elvis Taione and lock Ed Gower also make the starting line up after impressing off the bench last round. Ryan Hodson returns to the side at flanker while Richard Hooper returns on the wing along with Lui Siale, who makes his first appearance for Manly after a season with French outfit Union Sportive Carcassonne.
Southern Districts make six changes to the side that lost to Northern Suburbs last weekend. A new-look front row sees Tetera Faulkner and Tim Metcher in the prop positions while HSBC Waratah John Ulugia will captain the side from hooker. Fellow HSBC Waratah Kane Douglas will make his first appearance for Southern Districts in 2012 in the second row, while Ben Volavola grabs a first grade start at fullback. The return from injury of flanker Sam Latunipulu will be a huge boost for the Rebels.
