Sydney University Football Club was founded in 1863 and is known as the ‘Birthplace of Rugby’ in Australia. The club has secured 47 1st grade titles: 1865, 1866, 1867, 1869, 1871, 1871,1873,1874,1875,1877,1881,1882,1885,1887,1888,1889,1890, 1891,1893,1901,1904,1919,1920,1923,1924,1926,1927,1928,1937, 1939,1945,1951,1953,1954,1955,1961,1962,1968,1970,1972,2001, 2005,2006,2007,2008,2009 and 2010. They have won the Club Championship 15 times including the last 7 years in a row.Their Colts 1st XV have won 8 of the past 9 premierships and the Club Championship the past 6 years in a row. Sydney University has produced 110 Australian Representatives and 90 Wallabies.
