Students at the Trinity Grammar school in Sydney’s inner west enjoyed watching the Waratahs first full training session since their 50-23 win over the Melbourne Rebels last Sunday afternoon at Allianz Stadium.

Randwick emerged victors of the hard fought match 29-22 at North Sydney Oval, with NSW Waratah Andrew Deegan bagging himself 24 points out of the 29 on offer.

Round eight of the Shute Shield is shaping up to be a telling time for sides as they progress into the 2ndthird of the competition. It is now or never for some clubs to start clicking in their combinations as the season rolls on.

Eight NSW women have been selected in the Buildcorp Wallaroos squad to tour New Zealand in mid-June. The tour will comprise of three tests against England, New Zealand and Canada next month ahead of the Women’s Rugby World Cup in Ireland this August.

The Norths Pirates Junior Rugby Club will celebrate a major milestone later this month by inviting former players, current supporters and parents to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the club’s formation.

Rugby Union takes over Friday nights in Tamworth with school students from Tamworth, Gunnedah and Barraba regions taking part in a full field Rugby 7s competition.

Eastern Suburbs’ trip to the bush was a successful one, as they halted a Gordon resurgence in the second half to win 33-19 at Orange’s Wade Park.

Women’s rugby takes another great step forward this Saturday with ten teams competing in a women’s seven a side tournament at the David Phillips Field, at the University of NSW.
