Shute Shield draw for 2017 unveiled

Sydney’s premier Rugby competition, the Shute Shield, is back in 2017 with the draw for the season recently released.
It all kicks off on the 1 April, with the Grand Final set for the 26 August.  The 18 rounds will provide quality, weekly Rugby competition, providing fans the opportunity to see some of the best players in NSW battle it out.
With the Wallabies scheduled to take on Scotland on 17 June, a bye in the Shute Shield has been scheduled for that weekend.
Defending Premiers, Northern Suburbs, kick off their 2017 campaign on the road when they face Warringah in the opening round.
Round 1 will also see the 2016 Minor Premiers Sydney University at home to rivals Eastern Suburbs.
In what is always an impressive line up of young guns and experienced hands, the 2017 Shute Shield once again promises to deliver quality Rugby competition across Sydney.
