Central Coast and Central West Premierships Decided


The NSW Country Rugby Union Grand Final season continues to showcase country rugby at its finest with the Central Coast and Central West Zones deciding their major winners over the weekend.

The Terrigal Trojans took out the double, claiming both first grade and second grade premierships in the Central Coast Zone.

Terrigal Trojans first grade team defeated Ourimbah Razorbacks, 39-11.

Trojans’ second grade side also defeated the Razorbacks in a 25-10 contest.

NSW Country Executive Officer Stephen O’Brien was on hand to watch the Central Coast Zone Grand Final.

“It was a great community event with all teams playing competitive rugby throughout the day,” he said.

“Congratulations to the Central Coast Zone for topping off their season with a great finals day.”

In the Central West Zone, Forbes claimed Grand Final honours over the Orange Emus in a tight 28-20 contest.

The Central West Women’s Grand Final was played out between Bathurst Bulldogs and Cowra Eagles.

The Bathurst women triumphed over the Eagles women, 15-5.

General Manager of NSW Waratahs Rugby, Tim Rapp, witnessed all of the Central West Rugby action and was impressed with the talent on display.

This weekend the Newcastle Hunter Zone round out the NSW Country Rugby Union Grand Final season.
